Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They can be used to remember information, such as keeping you logged in, or to track your behaviour across sites.

Necessary cookies (always on) - a session cookie set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you logged in, and steward_marketing (12 months), which remembers your marketing cookie choice. Without them, the service cannot function. These cookies cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies — not currently used. We do not run Google Analytics or any similar tool today.

Marketing cookies (only with your consent) - we use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. to measure which of our ads lead to sign-ups and purchases:

- _fbp (90 days) - set by Meta to recognise your browser.
- _fbc (90 days) - stores the ID of the Meta ad you clicked, if any.
- steward_attribution (90 days) - stores the campaign you arrived from (UTM parameters), so we know which ad brought you.

If you accept, we also send these events from our server to Meta: sign-up, start of checkout, and purchase (with the amount). They include a hashed (unreadable) version of your email address, your IP address and browser information, so Meta can match them to the ad you saw. If you don't accept, nothing is sent to Meta.

When you first visit Steward, a banner lets you accept all cookies or continue with necessary cookies only. You can reopen your preferences at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie settings". We then delete the marketing cookies above and stop sending events to Meta. If we add other analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first, in line with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR.
